Number of floors in the building that need fiber service.
The termination box is typically in the main telecom room of the building and connects the InvisiLight MDU cords to the external fiber network. One or more OFS SlimBox 64 enclosures with SC-APC connectors added if this box is checked.
Pre-connectorized 1×32 splitters with SC-APC connectors added if this box is checked. Other splitter types available. Contact OFS for more information.
Total number of potential subscribers or ONT devices needed in the building.
Used to determine the number of InvisiLight ILU kits, if not 100%.
Length of InvisiLight ILU needed in the residential units.
This determines the type of InvisiLight MDU cord package to be provided. Reels on a box or one-end, pre-connectorized lengths.
Number of customers per floor that need fiber service.
Distance between floors. Typically 12-15 feet (4-5 meters).
Length from the entry of cord entry of the telecom closet to the riser.
Length from the termination box in the telecom closet to the entry of the closet.
Hallway perimeter. This number is the perimeter of the hallway and should include extra length to accommodate any recessed doorways or to traverse any additional obstacles.
Point of entry unit module type, standard or compact. See additional OFS InvisiLight MDU document for more information.
Extra length per cord. This is an extra safety length to accommodate for measurement error.
Method of terminating the InvisiLight MDU cord in the Point of entry module. Choice of pigtail splicing, fusion splice-on connectors or mechanical splice-on connectors.
If this box is checked, an appropriate tool set (splicer, EZ Terminator, Cleaver) will be recommended for the termination method chosen.
